Information in Police Blotter is obtained from the Downers Grove, Woodridge and Westmont police departments. Individuals listed in Police Blotter charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

DOWNERS GROVE

JUNE 23

A bicycle reportedly was stolen between 6 and 8:30 p.m. June 23 from the 4900 block of Highland Avenue.

JUNE 25

A box truck reportedly was stolen between 3 p.m. June 24 and 7 a.m. June 25 at Transmotion Inc., 2325 Wisconsin Ave.

JUNE 27

Construction tools reportedly were stolen between 7 p.m. June 26 and 6:30 a.m. June 27 from a truck parked at a construction site in the 1800 block of Ogden Avenue.

A laptop computer, cellphone and wallet reportedly were stolen between 5 and 9 p.m. from a car in the 2200 block of Midhurst Road.

WOODRIDGE

JUNE 19

Annie Shephard-Johnson, 46, of Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft after she took miscellaneous items from Kohl’s, 1001 75th Street.

WESTMONT

JULY 3

Jasper Marino, 50, of Westmont, was charged at 8:55 p.m. with illegal discharge of fireworks in the 700 block of Wilmette Avenue.

JULY 4

Tyreese Wright, 20, of Riverdale, was charged at 8:30 p.m. with domestic battery in the 300 block of South Cass Avenue.

Flower pots reportedly were stolen between 11:30 p.m. July 3 and 12:30 a.m. July 4 in the zero to 100 block of West Quincy Street.

JULY 6

Cigarettes reportedly were stolen between 2 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. from a business in the zero to 100 block of West 63rd Street. The window of the business was broken during the incident.

JULY 7

Laurel Brown, 60, of Downers Grove, was charged at 2:30 p.m. with theft in the 300 block of West 59th Street.

JULY 9

Three windows of a parked car reportedly were broken between midnight and 6:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of Oakley Lane.

Maria Manrique, 26, of Westmont, was charged at 4:30 p.m. with cruelty to animals in the 100 block of West 63rd Street.
