JOLIET

FEBRUARY 28

Jolyn Valdivia-Hernandez, 50, Joliet, was arrested near E. Cass and Faust Avenue for DUI.

MARCH 1

Daniel S. Turner, 22, of Villa Park, was arrested for criminal trespass to property on Berkley Avenue.

Suspects broke out a window in order to gain access into a vehicle on the 400 block of Pico Street. The offender then reached inside and stole a purse that was on the passenger seat.

Jada S. Travis, 19, of Joliet, was arrested near Henderson and E. Cass streets for failure to signal, transportation of open alcohol, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Kevin E. Barber, 18, of Plainfield, and Lorenzo L. Aken, 18, of Bloomington, were both arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and criminal trespass to property. A 14-year-old male juvenile was also charged for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Suspects entered a vehicle on the 1600 block of Maple Road and stole a 15″ Kicker speaker, a jumper box and a tool kit.

MARCH 2

Tyija Walters, 28, of Joliet, was cited near S. Briggs and 5th Avenue for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license suspended.

MARCH 3

Alexis N. Williams, 27, of Chicago, was arrested at the Will County Courthouse for resisting a peace officer and criminal trespass to property.

Jaime Moreno-Vela, 50, of Joliet, was cited near S. Briggs and I80 for no registration lights, obstructed windshield, driving while license revoked and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Whitney A. Sykes, 28, of Joliet, was cited near E. Washington and S. Briggs

for obstructed windshield and driving while license revoked.

Leticia Molina-Zamudio, 42, of Joliet, was arrested near N. Broadway and Division Street for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and improper lane usage.

Marcus J. Robinson, 19, of Romeoville, was cited near W. Jefferson and Airport Drive

for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Lakendel M. Evans, 36, of Joliet, was cited near Sugar Creek Drive and Manhattan Road for no registration lights, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

MARCH 4

Catherine Islas-Hernandez, 27, of Crestwood, Ky., was arrested near Cott Street and W. Seil Road for DUI, aggravated speeding, disobeying a traffic control device and failure to signal.

Joe Lewis Williams, 38, of Lockport, was cited near Henderson and E. Jackson

for aggravated driving while license revoked and illegal use of a cell phone.

Alfredo P. Rangel, Jr., 29, of Joliet, was cited near Juniper and Arthur for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving while license suspended and failure to yield.

MARCH 5

Antonio Barnes, 62, of Chicago, was arrested near S. Briggs and I80 for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, and obstructed windows.

Suspects broke into a storage unit on the 4000 block of McDonough Street and stole multiple pieces of jewelry.

Douglas B. Knight, 48, of Joliet, was arrested for battery on the 300 block of Colburn.

Gerald L. Wampler, 31, of Joliet, was arrested near Milan and New Lenox Road for illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI.

Christopher D. Warner, 40, of Joliet, was cited near W. Jefferson and N. Larkinfor driving while license suspended.

MARCH 6

Suspects stole a .380 semi-automatic handgun from a residence on the 2400 block of Burbank Street.

LOCKPORT

MARCH 4

Kendra Pratt, 23, of Chicago Heights, was cited near Volz and Godfrey for criminal damage to property, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident.

MARCH 5

Deandre Tillman, 22, of Joliet was cited near S. Weber and Caton Farm roads for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Marissa K. Seals, 19, of Joliet, was arrested on the 400 block of Dellwood for aggravated battery to a police officer, aggravated battery in a public place, and resisting a peace officer.

SHOREWOOD

MARCH 7

Adilene Rocha, 27, of Naperville, was arrested on the 100 block of Picnic Street for aggravated battery, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, obstructing justice, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage after officers responded to a vehicle off the road.

MARCH 8

Jennifer E .Abbott-Bell, 40, of Shorewood, was arrested on the 900 block W Jefferson Street on a Will County warrant after officers responded to a citizen’s call.

Jonah P. Hoehn, 22, of Joliet, was arrested on the 4200 block of W Jefferson Street on an Illinois State Police warrant after the vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped.

FEBRUARY 3

Jams P. Lacey, 56, of Evergreen Park, was charged at 5:06 p.m. with retail theft at 3300 Finley Road.

FEBRUARY 4

Veronica G. Davila, 44, of, Cicero, was charged at 4 5:24 p.m. with retail theft at Savers at 2900 Highland Avenue.

Several parts were stolen from a vehicle at 12 p.m. on the 5100 block of Washington Street.

A vehicle was broken into and a purse was reported stolen at 6:04 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital at 3816 Highland Avenue.

FEBRUARY 6

Tavis J. Hoffman, 44, of Earlville, was charged at 1:03 p.m. with retail theft at the Home Depot at 2000 Butterfield Road.

The lock of a vehicle was damaged between 9 p.m. Feb. 5 and 9 a.m. Feb. 6 in the 4100 block of Earlston Road.

FEBRUARY 8

Roger J. Ochoa, 22, of Streamwood, was charged at 11:58 a.m. with retail theft and possession of marijuana at Home Depot at 2000 Butterfield Road.

FEBRUARY 9

Ten recycled car batteries were stolen from a shed at Sears Hardware between 9:15 p.m. Feb. 8 and 12 p.m. Feb. 9 at 925 Ogden Ave.

FEBRUARY 10

Cash was stolen from a wallet in a locker at XSport Fitness Center between 12 p.m. Feb. 5 and 8 p.m. Feb. 10 at 3200 Finley Road.

Cash, credit and debit cards were stolen from a locker at XSport Fitness Center between 8:09 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. at 3200 Finley Road.

FEBRUARY 11

An iPhone and engagement ring were stolen between 12:01 and 1:30 a.m. at XSport Fitness Center at 3200 Finley Road.

Nakia L. Smith, 18, of the 4100 block of North Park Street, Westmont, was charged at 7:01 p.m. with retail theft at Jewel Osco at 1100 Ogden Ave.

FEBRUARY 12

Jewelry was stolen from a residence between 12 and 3:20 p.m. on the 6600 block of Garden Court.

WOODRIDGE

FEBRUARY 26

A criminal damage to property occurred sometime between noon on Feb. 24 and 9:50 a.m. on Feb. 26 at the Girl Scout Camp Site, 3125 75th Street. Suspect(s) made entry onto the property and damaged several buildings and items on the campground.

Following a traffic stop in the 2200 block of 75th Street, Rory Nugent, 40, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

FEBRUARY 27

Denisa Dlha, 27, of Bolingbrook and Lenka Nedbalek, 33, also of Bolingbrook were both charged with retail theft after removing miscellaneous items from Kohl’s, 1001 W. 75th Street without making payment.

MARCH 1

Jacqueline Fairchild, 65, of Woodridge was charged with retail theft after removing an item of jewelry from Kohl’s, 1001 W. 75th Street, without making payment.

MARCH 2

Christian Santiago, 27, of Woodridge was charged with possession of a controlled substance and Derek Banicki, 35, of Bolingbrook was charged with possession of cannabis following a traffic stop in the 8100 block of Route 53.

WESTMONT

FEBRUARY 20

A cell phone was stolen between 3:45 and 5:45 p.m. in the 6000 block of South Cass Avenue.

Two windows on a building were broken between 9 p.m. Feb. 15 and 9 a.m. Feb. 20 in the 6100 block of South Cass Avenue.

FEBRUARY 23

An antenna on a vehicle was broken between 9 p.m. Feb. 22 and 9 a.m. Feb. 23 in the 6700 block of Park Lane.

FEBRUARY 24

Car windows on 13 vehicles were broken between 1 and 2 a.m. in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue.

FEBRUARY 25

Jennie Moreano, 41, of Westmont, was charged at 11:45 p.m. with domestic battery in the 900 block of Indian Boundary Drive.

FEBRUARY 27

A backpack and work portfolio ware taken from a vehicle parked on the 1600 block of Fordham Parkway between Feb. 25-27

MARCH 1

An unknown subject removed two electronic razors from a shelf display and exited Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd., at 9:15 p.m. without rendering payment. Loss valued at $400.

MARCH 2

Two iPhones were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 100 block of Lily Cache Lane between 5:30–5:45 p.m.

MARCH 3

A business window was broken on the 300 block of Veterans Parkway between Feb. 24 and Mar. 3

A package was taken from a doorstep on the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive between 3:40–5 p.m. Loss valued at $450.

MARCH 4

Officers were called to the 300 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive for the report of a theft. A debit card was removed from a coat pocket and used to make several unauthorized purchases.

A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was taken from a parking lot on the 700 block of E. Boughton Road between 4–6:15 p.m. The vehicle was later recovered in Chicago.

Oscar Flores, 24, of Bolingbrook, was charged with hit and run, driving on a suspended license and improper lane usage on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road at 8:50 p.m.

Jenice Delrose, 36, of Western Springs, was charged with failure to reduce speed, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI, following an accident at Weber Road and 115th Street at 10:44 p.m.

MARCH 6

Sergio Beloufa, 23, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft and an in-state warrant, at Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Drive at 3:17 p.m.

A purse was taken from an unsecured vehicle on the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Drive at 6:05 p.m.

Cashae Simpson, 20, of Woodridge, was charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road at 7:35 p.m.

Neil Tedesco, 33, of Bolingbrook, was charged with a motorcycle violation, no valid registration, no insurance and two counts of DUI, following a motorcycle accident at Cochise Circle & Denver Drive at 11:26 p.m.

MARCH 7

Vipan Sahni, 51, of Naperville, was charged with DUI and following too closely, following a traffic stop on the 1200 block of Boughton Road at 11:05 p.m.

David Gary, 22, of Bolingbrook ,was charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road at 5:05 p.m.

MARCH 8

David Rios, 23, of Bolingbrook, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol, following a traffic stop at Bolingbrook Drive and Lee Lane at 12:01 a.m.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Cheyenne Court for the report of a burglary. A garage and vehicle were rummaged through between Mar. 3-8.

Officers responded to Meijer, 755 E Boughton Rd., for the report of a retail theft. Two unknown subjects placed several bottles of alcohol in a shopping basket and exited the store at 1:19 p.m. without rendering payment. Loss valued at $200.

A 17-year-old from Michigan was charged with an out of state warrant on the 200 block of N. Weber Road at 3:20 p.m.

MARCH 9

Rebecca Schaefer, 40, of Plainfield, was charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Road at 12:07 a.m.

ROMEOVILLE

MARCH 3

Veronica Zamudio, 20, of Romeoville, was arrested at 9:32 am in the area of Romeo Road and Belmont Drive for no valid driver’s license, no front plate and no insurance.

Brian Shaw, 24, of Lockport, was arrested at 4:01 p.m. in the area of Weber Road and I-55 ramp for driving on a revoked license, improper lane usage, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give information and failure to notify police authority of accident.

MARCH 4

A burglary was reported in the 600 block of West Romeo Road. Suspects entered a residence and took copper pipes, an exhaust fan and other construction materials from the residence. The value of what was taken is unknown at this time.

Saul Sanchez, 20, of Aurora, was arrested 2014 at 9:46 p.m. in the area of Romeo Road and Macon Avenue for DUI, disobey stop sign and no insurance.

MARCH 5

Jovan Guy, 20, of Romeoville, was arrested at 2:23 p.m. on the 1000 block of Romeo Road for an in-state warrant.

Teddie Baer, 20, of Joliet, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. on the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

Kenneth Burklow, 31, of Joliet, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. on the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

MARCH 6

Dwayne McGaughy, 30, of Joliet, was arrested at 8:52 p.m. on the 700 block Murphy Drive for an in-state warrant.

MARCH 7

Michael Corbett, 33, of Romeoville, was arrested at 11:43 p.m. in the area of Airport Road and Amaryllis Drive or no valid driver’s license, no rear registration light and failure to notify Secretary of State of address change.

MARCH 8

Korina Guerrero-Fuentes, 42, 23650 Springs Ct., Plainfield, was arrested at 1:17 p.m. in the area of Highpoint and Harmony for no valid driver’s license, no insurance and disobey stop sign.

Hector Sanchez, 40, of Joliet, was arrested at 6:41 p.m. in the area of Weber and Taylor roads for driving on a revoked license and no rear registration light.

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported in the 200 block of Highpoint Drive. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and took a purse, shoes, laptop and jewelry from the vehicle. Total estimated value of the items taken is $1660.

A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 300 block of Fremont. Suspects spray painted the garage door of residence doing an estimated $50 in damage.

MARCH 9

A criminal defacement and criminal damage to property were reported in the 100 block of Azalea Circle. Suspects drew graffiti on walls of the home and damaged an air conditioner and doorframe at the property.

Brian Villegas, 22, of Joliet, was arrested at 11:59 a.m. in the area of Route 53 and Montrose Drive for an in-state warrant, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and improper use of cell phone.

MARCH 10

Eugene Adams, 55, of Joliet, was arrested at 12:56 p.m. in the 1000 block of Romeo Road for driving on a suspended license.

Sean Lyons, 36, of Joliet, was arrested at 7:26 p.m. in the area of Weber Road and Highpoint Drive for no valid driver’s license and improper use of cell phone.

Tyler Dillon, 35, of Plainfield, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. on the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

MARCH 11

Timothy Starks, 30, of Lockport, arrested at 7:58 a.m. on the 200 block of Nippert Avenue for an in-state warrant.

Soraya Ramos, 19, of Joliet, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. on the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

Veronica Gonzales, 35, of Joliet, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. on the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested at 5:10 p.m., on the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

Doris Vargas, 35, of Joliet, was arrested at 7:04 p.m. in the area of Weber Road and South Carillon Drive for driving on a suspended license, no insurance and improper use of cell phone.

Raul Quiroga, 40, of Kewanee, was arrested at 8:49 p.m. in the area of Weber and Normantown roads for driving on a revoked license, no insurance and improper child restraint.

MARCH 12

A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 300 block of Richmond Drive. Suspects spray-painted graffiti on the side of the residence.

Sidney Campbell, 19, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 1:03 a.m. in the area of Weber and Romeo roads for speeding over 35 mph over the posted limit.

Yige Chen, 26, of Teaneck, N.J., was arrested 12 at 1:41 p.m. on the 700 block of Normantown Road for no valid driver’s license and speeding.

MARCH 11

Officers were called to the 200 block of Bedford Drive for the report of criminal damage to property. An unknown substance was poured on hood and fuel tank of a vehicle between Mar. 10-11. Damage valued at $900.

MARCH 15

A Chevrolet Impala was taken from the lot on the 200 block of Old Chicago Dr. between Mar. 6-15.

MARCH 16

Michael Rockett, 37, of Bolingbrook, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and hit and run at 7:30 p.m.

MARCH 18

Oscar Cano-Martinez, 25, of Bolingbrook, was charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive at 4:28 p.m.

MARCH 19

Zachary W. Meditz, 22, of Joliet, was charged at 3:55 a.m. with DUI-Alcohol and improper lane usage following a traffic stop near Joliet Rd. and Internationale Pkwy.

Officers responded to the 500 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. for a disturbance. Dijon T. Kelley, 21, of Aurora, was charged with one count of battery at 4:58 p.m.

Kenya Hernandez Garcia, 21, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. for DUI-Alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident on the 500 block of Remington Blvd.

MARCH 20

Officers were called to the 700 block of S. Weber Road for the report of a female attempting to cash a fraudulent check. Shakia M. Stanton, 21, of, was charged with disorderly conduct and forgery at 5:21 p.m.

Glass on an entry door was broken and graffiti was left on the exterior of the door in an apartment building sometime between Mar. 17-20 on the 500 block of Preston Drive.

Richard W. Long Jr., 53, of Aurora, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. for DUI-Alcohol and hit and run near the 500 block of Remington Blvd.

MARCH 21

Officers responded to the 200 block of Lexington Drive for the report of an attempted residential burglary at 5:20 a.m. Entry was not made and no proceeds were taken.

Eden Hernandez, 35, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 6:49 a.m. for an in-state warrant following a traffic stop near the intersection of Ashbury and Hanover Drives.

Amber D. Keef, 31, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 10:24 a.m. for DUI-Alcohol, improper lane usage and expired registration following a traffic stop near the intersection of Brookview and Lily Cache lanes.

Officers were called to Kingsbrooke Court for the report of a residential burglary that occurred between 10 p.m. on Mar. 20 and 8 a.m. on Mar. 21; $105 in cash was removed from the residence.

MARCH 22

A tractor-trailer was stolen from the 100 block of S. Joliet Road between 9 p.m. on Mar. 21. and 7:30 a.m. on Mar. 22.

Officers were called to the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive for the report of a retail theft where approximately $300 in baby formula was removed from a retail store.

Derek Creal, 55, of Joliet, was arrested for an in-state warrant following a traffic stop on the 300 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive at 8:42 p.m.

ROMEOVILLE

MARCH 7

Mario Munoz, 26, 4226 N. Mulligan, Chicago, was arrested at 7:33 p.m. in the area of Normantown and Brunswick for no valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic sign.

MARCH 11

On at 12:14 pm, a 13-year-old juvenile was arrested in the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

Anthony Jackson, 18, of Decatur, was arrested at 8:08 p.m. in the area of Macon and Romeo roads for driving on a suspended license, no insurance and one headlight.

MARCH 13

A criminal defacement of property was reported at 7:24 p.m. in the area of Richmond Drive and Richmond Court. Suspects spray painted the sidewalk and a stop sign.

MARCH 15

Nakeida Sykes, 31, of Romeoville, was arrested at 8:31 a.m. in the area of Murphy and Eaton for no valid driver’s license and improper lane usage.

A retail theft was reported at 11:17 a.m. in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Unknown persons took a backpack, wireless speakers, a computer and headphones from the business. Total value of all the items taken is $1828.07.

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported at 3:19 p.m.in the 200 block of Normantown Road. Suspects entered the parked vehicle and took scratch off lottery tickets, a GPS and a phone charger. Total estimated value of the items taken is $85.

MARCH 16

Patricia Guzman, 19, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 2:09 p.m. in the area of Romeo Road and Poplar for speeding, no insurance and no valid driver’s license.

Yesenia Jimenez, 18, of Brookfield, was arrested at 4:17 p.m. in the area of Weber Road and 119th Street for driving on a suspended license.

A theft over $500 was reported at 1:49 p.m. in the 700 block of South Weber Road. Suspects took several deck railings with an undetermined value from a work site.

MARCH 17

Mohammed Rafati, 37, of Romeoville, was arrested at 9 a.m. in the 200 block of South Alder Creek for possession of cannabis, intent to deliver cannabis and possession of drug equipment.

Alexander Kimble-Kline, 23, of Lockport, was arrested at 9:38 a.m. in the area of Dalhart and Corona for no valid driver’s license, speeding and expired registration.

Ann Stuart, 49, of Braidwood, was arrested at 4:56 p.m. in the 300 block of North Independence for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, aggravated battery to a police officer, intoxicated pedestrian in the roadway and resisting an officer.

MARCH 18

Ronald Smith, 49, of Tinley Park, was arrested at 12:55 a.m. in the 200 block of Fremont for theft over $10,000, aggravated battery to a police officer, fleeing and eluding an officer, in-state warrant, driving on a revoked license, hit and run, DUI, no insurance, reckless driving, no seat belt and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

A burglary from motor vehicle was reported at 12:37 p.m. in the 300 block of Healy. Suspects rummaged through an unlocked vehicle but did not take anything.

MARCH 19

Frank Estrada, 21, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:12 p.m. in the area of Weber and Taylor roads for no valid driver’s license and no seat belt.

Carrie Caston, 40, of Joliet, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. in the area of Independence and Chambers for driving on a revoked license, no insurance and illegal use of cell phone.

MARCH 20

Stephanie Kayser, 28, of Romeoville, was arrested at 1:58 p.m. in the 300 block of North Independence for retail theft.

A criminal damage to property was reported at 11:54 a.m. in the 1200 block of Lakeview Drive. Suspects cut three tires on a vehicle that was parked in the business’ lot. Estimated cost to replace the tires is $600.

MARCH 21

A criminal defacement of property was reported at 8:21 a.m. in the 1400 block of Taylor Road. Suspects spray-painted graffiti on a building. Estimated cost to remove the damage is $50.

Eric Jouravleff, 25, no known address, was arrested at 2:28 p.m. in the 1000 block of Romeo Road for an in-state warrant.

MARCH 22

Monroe Lincoln, 19, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 1:22 a.m. in the area of Route 53 and Honeytree for no valid driver’s license, no insurance and improper lighting.

MARCH 6

A man claiming to have bought a neighboring house entered the home of a residence in the 8100 block of Elmore Street on and took the occupant into the basement where he asked questions about the plumbing, police said. Later, a folder containing old bank statements and checks, which had been kept in a closet, was found torn, but none of the contents were missing, according to police.

MARCH 7

A device used for hauling or lifting was reported stolen from a truck parked in a lot in the 7500 block of Caldwell Avenue between February 21 and March 7.

MARCH 8

Daniel Salcedo, 36, of Niles, was charged with aggravated assault on, police said. A family member told police that Salcedo pointed a folding knife at her while arguing about rent money he wanted back.

An 81-year-old resident of the 8000 block of Overhill Avenue discovered rings missing from a jewelry box after two men came to her home in the afternoon and said they needed to do work on her roof due to the recent high winds, police said. The woman told police that one of the men asked her for a bucket of water and she later found him inside her bedroom. The second man then asked the woman to pay $140 for the roof work, at which she became suspicious and called 911, police said. The men left the house before police arrived.

MARCH 9

A coin box was stolen between March 8 and 9 from a dryer inside the common area laundry room of an apartment building in the 8800 block of Root Street, police said.

A duffel bag containing a man’s clothing, wallet and $180 in cash was reported stolen from a fitness center locker in the 9200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

 

MARCH 10

David Ouimet, 32, of Chicago, was charged with theft. Police said Ouimet stole $6,049 worth of items, mainly boxes of refrigerant, from a company he had worked for on the 6100 block of Mulford Street.

Robert Wezio, 56, of Niles, was charged with driving under the influence after police said his car became stuck on a raised cement median at Lehigh Avenue and Gross Point Road.

MARCH 11

Patricia Papuga, 25, of Hanover Park, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Diana Tait, 34, of Norridge, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, retail theft and obstruction.

Michael Tsopnang, 24, of Maywood, was charged with criminal trespass and public intoxication on after police responded to a call of a car burglary on the 7900 block of Caldwell Avenue. According to police, officers located Tsopnang in the driver’s seat of a parked car, but the owner of the car said he did not know Tsopnang. Police said Tsopnang “appeared to be highly confused and incoherent” and was unable to remember how he got to the parking lot. Nothing was reported missing from the car, police said.

The owner of a pool hall in the 7900 block of Waukegan Road was ticketed for allowing alcohol to be consumed on the premises without a license, police said.

A resident in the 5900 block of Capulina Avenue reported purchasing a $500 Target gift card and giving the information to an alleged IRS agent. Police said an officer was able to contact the Target Gift Card Center and was able to prevent the funds from being removed.

William W. Jacoub, 27, of Park Ridge, was charged with driving under the influence following an incident at Oakton Street and Caldwell Avenue. Police said Jacoub was found sleeping behind the wheel of his car.

A man reported that someone broke into his landscape trailer in the 7900 block of Caldwell and stole equipment.

A woman reported that she believes someone unzipped her purse and stole her wallet at a retailer in the 7200 block of Dempster Street. Police said the purse was sitting in her shopping cart.

Michael A. Rustam, 21, of Skokie, was charged with possession of cannabis following an incident at Church Street and Marmora Avenue. Police said Rustam was stopped for a traffic violation and was in possession of cannabis.

Officers responded to the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Drive for the report of a burglary from motor vehicle. A cell phone, iPad mini and wallet were taken while the victim was shopping between 10:30–10:51 p.m. Loss valued at $815.

Nickolas Johnson, 33, of Naperville, was charged with an in-state warrant, improper lighting and driving on a suspended license, following a traffic stop on Boughton and Kings roads at 9:54 p.m.

Two male white subjects entered the BP Gas, 17100 W. Laraway Road, at 8 a.m. and asked the clerk if they could purchase beer this early.  When the subjects were told no, they proceeded to the beer cooler, removed a case of Bud Light, and left the store without paying for it.

A male white subject entered the Shell, 4230 W. Jefferson St., and asked for change for a $50 bill.  As the clerk opened the cash register and began removing low denominations the man reached across the counter and grabbed the money without giving her the $50. The subject made off with $50.

Colin McCarthy, 38, of Plainfield, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. in the 400 block of North Weber Road for possession of controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and no insurance.

Reggie Shepherd, 24, of El Paso, Tex., was arrested at 11:47 p.m. in the 0-100 block of University Parkway for unlawful use of a weapon.

Rosalinda Alvarez, 34, of Cicero, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license. Police said Alvarez’s car struck another vehicle at Touhy and Melvina avenues and then drove away.

MARCH 15

An employee of a store in the 8600 block of Golf Road reported that her cell phone was stolen after she left it unattended on a counter while helping customers, police said.

MARCH 16

Liri Lutaj, 56, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft on after police said she stole cologne and a pair of scissors from a retailer in the 200 block of Golf Mill Center.

David Pasulka, 57, of Glenview, was charged with driving under the influence after police said he was involved in a hit and run crash in a parking lot in the 7100 block of Milwaukee Avenue. According to police, a car struck a building and then drove away. Police took Pasulka into custody in the 7700 block of Lehigh Avenue.

MARCH 17

A candidate running for local office told police that one of his campaign signs was stolen from a homeowner’s yard between March 16 and 17. The candidate, who was not identified by police, also reported that three of his campaign signs were removed from the area of Dempster and Washington streets, but his opponent’s signs “were still there and had multiplied,” police said.

Graffiti was spray-painted on a van parked overnight between March 16 and 17 outside a business in the 7100 block of Austin Avenue, police said.

MARCH 17

Police were called after a 49-year-old woman reportedly showed up at Emerson Middle School, 8101 N. Cumberland Avenue, even though she had been told previously that she was not allowed on the property, police said. The woman reportedly ran from the school grounds when a school employee approached her.

MORTON GROVE

MARCH 10

Yi Mei Lu, 39, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with prostitution following an incident in the 9400 block of Waukegan Road. Police said Lu was arrested in a sting by the Morton Grove Police Department.

A woman in the 7800 block of Maple Street reported that someone opened multiple store credit cards in her name.

MARCH 12

Kaven Sulaka, 21, of Morton Grove, was charged with obstruction a peace officer and providing false vehicle accident report information following an incident in the 5700 block of Emerson Street. Police said Sulaka reported that a truck hit his parked vehicle and fled the scene. Officers made a determination that the accident did not occur as Sulaka reported. At the police station Sulaka admitted to driving the vehicle and hitting a log, police said.

MARCH 15

John D. Seibert, 25, of Evansville, Ind., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident in the 7900 block of Golf Road. Police said Seibert was asleep in a parked vehicle with a hypodermic needle beside him on the passenger seat. Police said Seibert stated the needle was filled with morphine. The needle was sent to lab for further analysis, police said.

Unknown offender(s) burglarized multiple storage units at a storage facility in the 8600 block of Waukegan Road, police said.

MARCH 18

Michael A. Pelkowski, 33, of Justice, was charged with driving under the influence and driving while license revoked following an incident at Dempster Street and Waukegan Road. Police said Pelkowski was stopped for a traffic violation when he failed a field sobriety test. At the police station, police said Pelkowski provided a breath sample of .252 (.08 is the stated legal limit).

MARCH 18

A man in the 8600 block of Waukegan Road reported that someone opened a PayPal account and linked it to his bank account.

Napouneed J. Brendaro, 32, of Skokie, was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia following an incident at Marmora Avenue and Dempster Street. Police said Brendaro was stopped for equipment violations and issued Morton Grove local ordinance citations for cannabis and drug paraphernalia possession.

MARCH 19

George D. Arroyo, 28, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence following an incident at Dempster Street and Menard Avenue. Police said Arroyo was stopped for a traffic violation when he admitted to having four strong drinks and could not preform field sobriety tests. Arroyo also refused to provide breath blood or urine samples, police said.

MARCH 21

Resident in the 5500 block of Lincoln Avenue reported that someone burglarized his apartment, police said. At the time of the report nothing appeared to be missing, police said.

Woman reported that someone broke off her vehicle’s driver’s side windshield wiper in the 9500 block of Harlem Avenue.

 

PARK RIDGE

MARCH 31

Police said a man lured an elderly couple out of their home on the 500 block of North Home Avenue by claiming to provide tree-trimming services and telling them that one of their trees had termites. When the couple returned to the home, they found the front door open, though nothing inside appeared to be missing, police said.

APRIL 1

An unknown man and woman reportedly used a patio umbrella to damage a car’s rear window while it was parked on the 1300 block of West Touhy Avenue between 10:20 and 10:30 p.m.

APRIL 2

Someone drove a car over the front lawn of a home on the 400 block of South Western Avenue on the afternoon, damaging the grass, police said.

A large trash receptacle was set on fire near a business on the 300 block of West Touhy Avenue, police said.

An unknown man allegedly stole baby formula from Mariano’s, 1900 S. Cumberland Ave.

Daan Northern, 26, of Chicago, was taken into custody on an Oak Brook arrest warrant for theft following a traffic accident, police said.

APRIL 3

Light fixtures and duct covers were reported damaged between April 2 and April 3 at Franklin School, 2401 Manor Lane.

APRIL 5

A 17-year-old boy from Des Plaines was charged with battery and theft on April 5 in connection with an alleged incident that occurred March 17. According to police, a 19-year-old man accused the teen of punching him in the face during an argument outside a store on the 2600 block of Dempster Street and stealing his cellphone. Police said an officer investigating the case was able to get the phone returned to the victim, but when the 17-year-old failed to also return the phone’s SIM card, charges were filed against him.

APRIL 7

Louis J. Jackson, 20, of Park Ridge, was charged with domestic battery, police said.

APRIL 6

Michael Courtney, 28, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after police said he was accused of leaving Mariano’s, 1900 S. Cumberland Ave., with alcohol, food, baby formula and energy drinks he had not paid.

Brent William Childers, 27, of Chicago, and Joseph Ruzicka, 25, of Antioch, were each charged with retail theft. Police said the pair had been involved in the theft of $373 worth of groceries from Mariano’s, 1900 S. Cumberland Ave.

A 1999 Cadillac SLS was stolen between April 4 and April 6 while parked on the street on the 700 block of Florence Drive, police said.

APRIL 6

Officers responded to the 501 building of Preston Drive for a fire set in a laundry room at 10:35 p.m.

A wallet was taken from a secured locker on the 500 block of N. Janes Avenue between 8 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. Loss valued at $180.

Alexes Perez, 20, of Bolingbrook, was charged with failure to reduce speed, disobey traffic control device, no valid driver’s license, no insurance and two counts of DUI, following a traffic stop at Boughton Road and I-355. at 1:26 p.m.

Taurus Young, 36, of Bolingbrook, was charged with an in-state warrant, driving too fast for conditions and driving on a suspended license, following a traffic stop at Bolingbrook Drive and Lily Cache Lane at 4:14 a.m.

Bernetta Patton, 47, of Bolingbrook, was charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault, resisting a peace officer and possession of drug paraphernalia, following a call to the residence for a domestic dispute at 1 a.m.

Officers responded to the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Dr. for the report of criminal damage to property. Unknown subject scratched the driver’s side quarter panel of a vehicle parked in the lot between 8:20 p.m. – 9 p.m.

A cellphone and cash were taken from an unsecured locker on the 200 block of S. Lindsey Lane between 7–8:30 p.m. Loss valued at $300.

Carlos Falu-Colon, 37, of Bolingbrook, was charged with DUI and two counts of, endangering life of child, following a traffic stop on the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Drive at 3:10 a.m.

APRIL 11

Tools, a pair of work gloves and a flow meter were taken from a vehicle parked on the 700 block of Hartford Lane sometime overnight. Loss valued at $5600.

Officers were called to Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr. for the report of a retail theft. Two unknown subjects concealed three watches and exited the store without rendering payment at 2:50 p.m. Loss valued at $42.

ROMEOVILLE

MARCH 25

Edgar Jasso, 33, of Aurora, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. in the 300 block of North Independence for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, leaving the scene of crash, failure to give information, failure to notify police, improper use of registration, expired registration, no insurance and illegal squealing of tires.

MARCH 27

Maria Salgado, 37, of Lockport, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. in the area of Route 53 and Mikan for driving with a suspended license, no insurance and failure to yield.

A theft over $500 and a criminal damage to property was reported at 10:21 a.m. on the 100 block of Anton Drive. Suspects damaged a fence and took numerous tires valued at a total of $25,591.68 from the business.

MARCH 31

A theft under $500 was reported in the 700 block of Delta at 1:58 p.m. Suspects took a delivered package from outside the residence. The package contained a party tent valued at $129.99.

Anson Babb, 40, of Romeoville, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. in the 600 block of Nelson for aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.

Mario Romero, 28, of Melrose Park, was arrested at 1:58 a.m.in the area of Budler and Summerfield for DUI, no insurance and disobeying a stop sign.

Armando Romero, 28, of Crest Hill, was arrested at 2:46 p.m. in the 2200 block of Park Rose, for duty to register address as sex offender and residing in a prohibited area.

Nancy Gonzalez-Cruz, 32, of Romeoville, was arrested at 7:38 a.m.in the area of Weber and Grand for no valid driver’s license.

Jacek Kuczynski, 20, of Romeoville, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. in the 1900 block of Tilson Lane for an in-state warrant.

APRIL 5

A criminal damage to property was reported in the 400 block of Walden Court at 1:21 p.m. Suspects punctured a garage door panel at the residence causing an estimated $100 in damage.

Xavier Marquez, 22, of Romeoville, was arrested at 12:21 a.m.in the area of Independence and McKool for possession of cannabis and delivery of cannabis.

Devin White, 22, of Plainfield, was arrested at 12:21 a.m.in the area of Independence and McKool for driving with a suspended license and no rear registration light.

A motor vehicle theft was reported in the 200 block of Highpoint Drive at 10:29 p.m. Suspects took a vehicle valued at $39,000 from the common parking area.

Thomas Watson, 67, of Romeoville, was arrested at 9:21 a.m.in the area of Dalhart and Beacon for driving with a suspended license, speeding, no insurance and failure to notify address change.

Destiny Helms, 19, of Plainfield, was arrested at 6:21 p.m. in the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

A retail theft was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road at 5:41 p.m. An unknown person took three pairs of headphones and a pair of Bluetooth speakers with a total value of $259.01 from the business.

Azahel Acosta, 30, of Chicago, was arrested at 7:26 a.m.in the area of Marquette Drive and Naperville Road for no valid driver’s license and disobey traffic sign.

A theft under $500 was reported in the 700 block of Geneva at 6:25 p.m. Suspects took a delivered package from outside the residence. The package contained a wallet valued at $44.20.

APRIL 7

Yasmin Aguilar, 26, 651 Meeker Ave., Joliet, was arrested at 3:02 p.m. in the area of Romeo Road and New Avenue for driving with a suspended license, no insurance, too fast for conditions and an in-state warrant.

Victim on the 13000 block of S. Tamarack Drive stated she attempted to buy a 2015 golf cart through, what she thought, was Amazon from a seller in Baltimore, Md. The cost was $1,000 and contact was made through emails. The seller advised the victim to purchase two Amazon gift cards for $500 each and then send the card numbers to the seller via email. After a few days, and no response from the seller, the victim contacted Amazon who told her that their company does not use gift cards to make purchases.

MARCH 29

Quincy Lee McCoy, 30, of Plainfield was arrested on the on the 200 block of Karen Circle for possession of a controlled substance.

About 8 p.m. an employee at a business on the 16000 block of S. Lincoln Highway

heard someone rattling the drive-thru window. The employee opened the window and an unknown white male with blue eyes and blonde eyebrows stuck his arms and a gun inside the window and requested all the money from the register. The employee complied. The Will County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

Adam B. Mathias, 32, of Lemont, was arrested for hit and run operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving on a suspended/revoked driver’s license.

Kisha Lashon Claiborne, 43, of Plainfield, was arrested theft of under $500.

MARCH 30

Drew A. Sajdak, 23, of Plainfield was cited near W. 127th and W. Rt. 30 for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

APRIL 1

Ashley Hudson, 25, of Newark, Ill., was arrested near S. County Line Road and Rt. 126 for DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Suspects broke out the rear window of a vehicle on the 14000 block of S. Silver Lane and stole a purse.

APRIL 2

Suspects entered an unlocked shed on the 300 block of DePaul Court and stole a generator and an extension cord.

MARCH 18

Alexander Apacible, 45, of the 4900 block of Troy Street, Chicago, was charged with theft after police said he paid for items at a store in the 8200 block of Golf Road using bad checks.

On, a man and woman allegedly stole all the merchandise on a store shelf on the 200 block of Golf Mill Center, police said. The man allegedly ran out of the store carrying three or four bags full of merchandise and the woman followed behind him, police said. The pair were reportedly involved in a previous theft that occurred March 13.

Terrion McCree, 23, and DaQuan McCree, 21, both of Riverdale, were each charged with identity theft and forgery, police said. According to police, the pair attempted to cash fraudulent checks, totaling $5,650, at a bank in the 5600 block of Touhy Avenue. Terrion McCree also allegedly cashed a check for $2,900 the previous day, but the bank later learned that the account holder had never written him a check, police said.

A clock was reported stolen from a car parked in the 5700 block of Touhy Avenue. Police said a window was smashed to gain entry.

MARCH 20

Melvyn Hayes, 73, of Niles, was charged with driving under the influence after police said he was involved in a crash with another car in the 8000 block of Oakton Street.

A group of teens between the ages of 14 and 19 walked into a store in the 200 block of Golf Mill Center and stole 12 video game controllers, police said.

MARCH 22

All four tires and rims were discovered missing from a car parked in the 8200 block of Newland Avenue, police said.

MORTON GROVE

APRIL 3

A resident in the 6000 block of Crain reported that someone used an unknown pry tool to force open the rear door to his residence and burglarize the home.

A woman reported that someone stole her flowerpot off the front step of her residence in the 9500 block of Harlem Avenue and threw dirt onto her car.

APRIL 4

Kennedy, Danny J. Kennedy, 28, of Northbrook, was charged with possession of cannabis following an incident stop at Dempster Street and Oak Park Avenue.

A man reported that someone stole his vehicle that was parked in the 9000 block of Mango.

A man reported that someone ransacked his unlocked vehicle, parked in the 9200 block of Parkside Avenue, and stole loose change.

A man reported that someone ransacked his unlocked vehicle that was parked in the 8800 block of Parkside Avenue. Police side it did not appear that anything was stolen.

A man reported that someone entered his vehicle, which was parked in the 9100 block of Major, and stole two cell phones.

PARK RIDGE

APRIL 9

A rock was reported thrown through a kitchen window between April 6 and April 9 on the 800 block of Seeley Avenue.

APRIL 10

A bicycle was reported stolen from an unlocked garage on the 500 block of North Prospect Avenue overnight between April 9 and April 10.

APRIL 11

The same three letters were spray-painted on several stop signs around the city between April 8 and April 11, police said.

APRIL 12

Krzysztof Pach, 39, of Park Ridge, was charged with criminal trespass, police said.

APRIL 13

Amira Berkrie Beshir, 33, of Chicago, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked license, improper lane usage and driving without a rear registration plate light on, police said.

Officers were called to a business on the 600 block of E. Boughton Road for the report of a theft. A wallet and credit cards were removed from a purse in an employee area. Several purchases were made with the credit cards at nearby stores. Between 7-9 pm. Loss valued at $2,200.

Michael Medeiros, 22, 4 Vermont Cir., was charged with an in-state warrant at 10:34 p.m. at his residence.

APRIL 13

Jason July, 31, of Bolingbrook, was charged with domestic battery, criminal damage to property and unlawful use of a weapon, following a call to the residence for a domestic disturbance at 9:10 pm.

Ashton Driver, 24, of Bolingbrook, was charged with an in-state warrant, driving on a suspended license, no insurance, speeding and expired registration, following a traffic stop on the 300 block of Ruth Cir. at 1:53 pm.

Several pairs of designer sunglasses and watches were taken from a locked bedroom. The door had been kicked in between 4 a.m. – 4pm. Loss valued at $3500.

Officers were called to Kohl’s, 1138 W. Boughton Road, for the report of a retail theft. Unknown subject concealed several pairs of sports shorts and exited the store without rendering payment at 6:45 pm. Loss valued at $48.

APRIL 14

Salatiel Velazquez, 41, of Chicago, was charged with theft on the 500 block of W. Crossroads Pkwy at 6:06 p.m. Loss valued at $2500.

Cezanne Torres, 30, of Bolingbrook, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a patrol stop on the 100 block of Nutwood Ct. at 9:26 pm.

APRIL 15

Cash was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 100 block of Mayfield Drive sometime overnight. Loss valued at $7.

Officers responded to Kohl’s, 1138 W. Boughton Road, for the report of a retail theft. The suspect concealed a pair of headphones and exited the store at 12:05 pm. without rendering payment. Loss valued at $175.

Officers responded to Meijer, 225 N. Weber Road, for the report of a retail theft. Suspect concealed several items in a backpack, exited the store at 4:07 p.m. and ran from store security. Loss valued at $90.

Officers were called to a residence on the 1400 block of Mesa Drive for the report of a residential burglary. The front door and a window were found open. A TV, game system and three pairs of shoes were taken between 11:20 a.m.–5 pm. Loss valued at $800.

APRIL 16

A cell phone was taken from a table at a park on the 100 block of Winston Drive between 6-6:15 pm. Loss valued at $750.

Roberto Morales, 29, of Aurora, was charged with speeding, failure to signal, and two counts of DUI, following a traffic stop at Boughton and Weber raods at 11:09 p.m.

Jonathan Biniecki, 19, of Oswego, was charged with drag racing, following at traffic stop at Glenside Dr and Sapphire Drive at 10:27 p.m.

Officers were called to the area of Jennifer Lane, Commonwealth Drive, Bothwell Circle and Towner Drive for several vehicles rummaged through overnight. A stereo, wallet, skill saw, various hand tools and GPS were taken. A 2010 Silverado truck was also taken from a driveway on the 1000 block of Jenifer Lane.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Juniper Lane for the report of a domestic battery. The unwanted subject entered the residence at 4:50 a.m., pulled the victim by the hair down a set of stairs, punched several victims in the face and fled the residence trying to crash a vehicle into a victim.

Stephen Autry, 61, of Bolingbrook, was charged with failure to report an accident and hit and run, following a traffic stop at Bolingbrook Drive and Boughton Road at 9:35 p.m.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Robinhood Way for the report of a residential burglary. Miscellaneous loose charge was taken sometime overnight. Loss valued at $500.

Officers responded to the 200 block of Lee Lane for the report of a residential burglary.   The homeowner woke up to a noise and discovered an unknown subject in the kitchen. Suspect fled through an open window at 10:45 p.m.

Destiny Helms, 19, of Plainfield, was arrested at 6:21 p.m. in the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

Raneisha Pickens, 18, of Joliet, was arrested at 6:21 p.m. in the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

A motor vehicle theft was reported in the 200 block of Highpoint Drive at 10:29 p.m.. Suspects took a vehicle valued at $39,000 from the common parking area.

APRIL 6

A retail theft was reported in the 400 block of South Weber Road at 5:41 p.m. An unknown person took three pairs of headphones and a pair of Bluetooth speakers with a total value of $259.01 from the business.

Azahel Acosta, 30, of Chicago, was arrested at 7:26 a.m. in the area of Marquette and Naperville for no valid driver’s license and disobey traffic sign.

A theft under $500 was reported in the 700 block of Geneva at 6:25 p.m. Suspects took a delivered package from outside the residence. The package contained a wallet valued at $44.20.

APRIL 7

Yasmin Aguilar, 26, of Joliet, was arrested at 3:02 p.m. in the area of Romeo Road and New Avenue for driving with a suspended license, no insurance, too fast for conditions and an in-state warrant.

Jeffrey Aikin, 39, of Romeoville, was arrested at at 8:23 p.m. in the 200 block of West Normantown for two in-state warrants.

APRIL 8

Chastity Pounds, 21, of Wheaton, was arrested at 8:29 a.m. in the area of Route 53 and Taylor for no valid driver’s license, no insurance and speeding.

Geovani Noa, 45, of Cicero, was arrested at 11:22 a.m. in the 400 block of South Weber Road for retail theft.

Jessie Gray, 32, of Joliet, was arrested APRIL 8 at 5:46 p.m. in the area of Weber and Creekside for driving with a suspended license.

Jose Hernandez, 21, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 9:04 p.m. in the 700 block of Echo for obstructing an officer.

Eddie Soto, 26, of Romeoville, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. in the 700 block of Echo for possession of cannabis and delivery/manufacture of cannabis.

APRIL 9

Christopher Ford, 39, of Romeoville, was arrested at 9:01 a.m. near Weber and Romeo roads for driving with a suspended license, no insurance and speeding.

APRIL 10

A criminal defacement of property was reported in the 300 block of Richmond Drive at 7:40 a.m. Suspects spray painted the sidewalk and side of the residence doing an estimated $100 in damage.

APRIL 11

Kanard Waters, 29, of Joliet, was arrested at 10:56 p.m. in the area of Joliet and Bluff roads for driving with a suspended license, expired registration and in-state warrant.

APRIL 12

Darnell Hardy, 22, of Chicago, was arrested at 10:59 a.m. near Taylor and Southcreek for no valid driver’s license and failure to yield.
