APRIL 27
Two juveniles were charged with criminal damage to government property following an incident on the 300 block of W. Briarcliff Rd. between April 26-April 27. The juveniles wrote in a newly poured sidewalk.
APRIL 28
- Officers were called to a business on the 200 block of S. Bolingbrook Dr. for the report of a burglary and criminal damage to a vehicle. Suspect removed two power drills from a secured vehicle, cracked the windshield, dented the bumper and broke taillights between 7:15-9 a.m.
- Scrap metal was taken from a business on the 300 block of S. Joliet Rd. sometime overnight.
- Mark Schwantes, 59, of Bolingbrook, was charged with DUI, following a traffic stop at Rt. 53 and Boughton Rd. at 1:19 a.m.
- Robert Olcese, 24, of Woodridge, was charged with resisting a peace officer, following a call to the 700 block of E. Boughton Rd. for a suspicious person at midnight.
- Zachary Weitendorf, 20, of Bolingbrook, was charged with criminal trespass to residence, following a call of a suspicious person looking in windows at 12:23 p.m.
- Juan Del Rio-Garcia, 18, of Plainfield, was charged with an in-state warrant, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and an equipment violation, following a traffic stop at Briarcliff Rd. a and Enclave Cir. at midnight.
- Unknown subject removed a wallet from the victim’s purse while they distracted the victim at Meijer, 225 N. Weber Rd. at 1 p.m. The victim’s credit card was used at a nearby store.
APRIL 29
Officers responded to the 200 block of Recreation Dr., for the report of criminal damage to a concession stand. Unknown subjects broke a window between April 28-April 29.
APRIL 30
- Officers responded to the 200 block of W. South Frontage Rd. for the report of a theft. Vehicle parts were removed from a truck parked in the lot between April 27-April 30. Loss valued at $2000.
- Kristal Sturdivant, 37, of Chicago, was charged with DUI and improper lane usage, following a traffic stop at Boughton Rd. and Brookwood Ln. at 2:25 a.m.
- Julie Vinckus, 46, of Crest Hill, was charged with an in-state warrant, driving on a suspended license, no insurance and speeding, following a traffic stop at Territorial Dr. and Veterans Pkwy. at 3:55 p.m.
- Maurice Thomas, 27, of Bolingbrook, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a patrol stop at 11:02 p.m.
MAY 1
- A 48-foot Great Dane trailer was removed from a lot on the 300 block of Crossings Rd.
- Hector Vargas, 35, of Darien, was charged with illegal use of cell phone while driving and driving on a suspended license, following a traffic stop at Briarcliff Rd. and Rt. 53 at 7:24 p.m.
MAY 2
Joseph Sullivan, 28, of Bolingbrook, was charged with an in-state warrant, following a traffic stop at Rt. 53 and I-55 t 2:58 p.m.
MAY 3
A purse was taken from a break room on the 800 block of S. Weber Rd. at 5 a.m.
