Information in Police Blotter is obtained from the Plainfield Police Department and Will County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals listed in Police Blotter charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

MARCH 29

Alonzo A. Raymond-Walker, 21, of Jackson, Mich., was arrested near S. Van Dyke Road and W. 143rd Street for hit and run, motor vehicle theft and an out-of-state warrant.

MARCH 30

Kevon D. Bell, 26, of Aurora, was arrested near 135th Street and Round Barn for an in-state warrant, no valid driver’s license and possession of drug equipment.

APRIL 8

Sherry L. Brusak, 53, of Plainfield, was arrested near Heritage Meadows Drive and Pear Tree Circle for criminal damage government supported property.

APRIL 9

Laura L. Vertucci, 58, of Plainfield, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

APRIL 10

Lizandr Mendez-Echevarria, 26, of Joliet, was arrested near Renwick Road and Rt. 59 for possession of cannabis (10gm or less).

Tiburco J. Zarco, 45, of Cicero, was arrested on Wallin Road for an in-state warrant, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

APRIL 11

James M. Simovic, 20, of Plainfield, was arrested near Meijer Department Store for forgery , retail theft and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

APRIL 12

Cortez Dwan Avery, 27, of Aurora, was cited on the 200 block of Douglass Way for obstructing justice and obstructing/resisting a peace officer.

While an ecological restoration company was doing work around a pond on 14000 block of S. Lakeridge Drive, suspects entered a work vehicle and stole a purse.

APRIL 13

Suspects entered a business on the 22000 block of W. Main Street and stole a 1971 Sears 12-foot aluminum fishing boat.

APRIL 15

Carlos Rodriguez-Torres, 29, of Romeoville, was arrested near W. Plymouth Circle and S. Budler Road for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid driver’s license and disobeying a stop sign.

APRIL 16

Suspects were observed stealing a video surveillance camera off the front area of a residence on the on the 24000 block of W. Easy Street

APRIL 18

Nicole K. Hamilton, 40, of Plainfield, was arrested on the 11000 block of S. Route 59 for retail theft.
