Police said a man is suspected of stealing $2099 worth of clothing from a retailer in the 200 block of Golf Mill Center.
MARCH 14
Rosalinda Alvarez, 34, of Cicero, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid license. Police said Alvarez’s car struck another vehicle at Touhy and Melvina avenues and then drove away.
MARCH 15
An employee of a store in the 8600 block of Golf Road reported that her cell phone was stolen after she left it unattended on a counter while helping customers, police said.
MARCH 16
Liri Lutaj, 56, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft on after police said she stole cologne and a pair of scissors from a retailer in the 200 block of Golf Mill Center.
David Pasulka, 57, of Glenview, was charged with driving under the influence after police said he was involved in a hit and run crash in a parking lot in the 7100 block of Milwaukee Avenue. According to police, a car struck a building and then drove away. Police took Pasulka into custody in the 7700 block of Lehigh Avenue.
MARCH 17
A candidate running for local office told police that one of his campaign signs was stolen from a homeowner’s yard between March 16 and 17. The candidate, who was not identified by police, also reported that three of his campaign signs were removed from the area of Dempster and Washington streets, but his opponent’s signs “were still there and had multiplied,” police said.
Graffiti was spray-painted on a van parked overnight between March 16 and 17 outside a business in the 7100 block of Austin Avenue, police said.
MARCH 17
Police were called after a 49-year-old woman reportedly showed up at Emerson Middle School, 8101 N. Cumberland Avenue, even though she had been told previously that she was not allowed on the property, police said. The woman reportedly ran from the school grounds when a school employee approached her.
MORTON GROVE
MARCH 10
Yi Mei Lu, 39, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with prostitution following an incident in the 9400 block of Waukegan Road. Police said Lu was arrested in a sting by the Morton Grove Police Department.
A woman in the 7800 block of Maple Street reported that someone opened multiple store credit cards in her name.
MARCH 12
Kaven Sulaka, 21, of Morton Grove, was charged with obstruction a peace officer and providing false vehicle accident report information following an incident in the 5700 block of Emerson Street. Police said Sulaka reported that a truck hit his parked vehicle and fled the scene. Officers made a determination that the accident did not occur as Sulaka reported. At the police station Sulaka admitted to driving the vehicle and hitting a log, police said.
MARCH 15
John D. Seibert, 25, of Evansville, Ind., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident in the 7900 block of Golf Road. Police said Seibert was asleep in a parked vehicle with a hypodermic needle beside him on the passenger seat. Police said Seibert stated the needle was filled with morphine. The needle was sent to lab for further analysis, police said.
Unknown offender(s) burglarized multiple storage units at a storage facility in the 8600 block of Waukegan Road, police said.
MARCH 18
Michael A. Pelkowski, 33, of Justice, was charged with driving under the influence and driving while license revoked following an incident at Dempster Street and Waukegan Road. Police said Pelkowski was stopped for a traffic violation when he failed a field sobriety test. At the police station, police said Pelkowski provided a breath sample of .252 (.08 is the stated legal limit).
MARCH 18
A man in the 8600 block of Waukegan Road reported that someone opened a PayPal account and linked it to his bank account.
Napouneed J. Brendaro, 32, of Skokie, was charged with possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia following an incident at Marmora Avenue and Dempster Street. Police said Brendaro was stopped for equipment violations and issued Morton Grove local ordinance citations for cannabis and drug paraphernalia possession.
MARCH 19
George D. Arroyo, 28, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence following an incident at Dempster Street and Menard Avenue. Police said Arroyo was stopped for a traffic violation when he admitted to having four strong drinks and could not preform field sobriety tests. Arroyo also refused to provide breath blood or urine samples, police said.

Resident in the 5500 block of Lincoln Avenue reported that someone burglarized his apartment, police said. At the time of the report nothing appeared to be missing, police said.
Woman reported that someone broke off her vehicle’s driver’s side windshield wiper in the 9500 block of Harlem Avenue.
PARK RIDGE
MARCH 31
Police said a man lured an elderly couple out of their home on the 500 block of North Home Avenue by claiming to provide tree-trimming services and telling them that one of their trees had termites. When the couple returned to the home, they found the front door open, though nothing inside appeared to be missing, police said.
APRIL 1
An unknown man and woman reportedly used a patio umbrella to damage a car’s rear window while it was parked on the 1300 block of West Touhy Avenue between 10:20 and 10:30 p.m.
APRIL 2
Someone drove a car over the front lawn of a home on the 400 block of South Western Avenue on the afternoon, damaging the grass, police said.
A large trash receptacle was set on fire near a business on the 300 block of West Touhy Avenue, police said.
An unknown man allegedly stole baby formula from Mariano’s, 1900 S. Cumberland Ave.
Daan Northern, 26, of Chicago, was taken into custody on an Oak Brook arrest warrant for theft following a traffic accident, police said.
APRIL 3
Light fixtures and duct covers were reported damaged between April 2 and April 3 at Franklin School, 2401 Manor Lane.
APRIL 5
A 17-year-old boy from Des Plaines was charged with battery and theft on April 5 in connection with an alleged incident that occurred March 17. According to police, a 19-year-old man accused the teen of punching him in the face during an argument outside a store on the 2600 block of Dempster Street and stealing his cellphone. Police said an officer investigating the case was able to get the phone returned to the victim, but when the 17-year-old failed to also return the phone’s SIM card, charges were filed against him.
APRIL 7
Louis J. Jackson, 20, of Park Ridge, was charged with domestic battery, police said.
APRIL 6
Michael Courtney, 28, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after police said he was accused of leaving Mariano’s, 1900 S. Cumberland Ave., with alcohol, food, baby formula and energy drinks he had not paid.
Brent William Childers, 27, of Chicago, and Joseph Ruzicka, 25, of Antioch, were each charged with retail theft. Police said the pair had been involved in the theft of $373 worth of groceries from Mariano’s, 1900 S. Cumberland Ave.
A 1999 Cadillac SLS was stolen between April 4 and April 6 while parked on the street on the 700 block of Florence Drive, police said.
