Police said Grygorcewicz appeared to have experienced some type of medical distress when he was traveling in a black 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound in the 7300 block of Dempster. The Tahoe struck a curb and a semi-trailer truck that was traveling eastbound in the middle lane in the 7200 block of Dempster.
The Tahoe continued traveling eastbound, striking a minivan in the curb lane that slowed down for a red light at Harlem Avenue. The minivan was pushed forward causing a chain reaction accident, striking a Mazda 4 door and a Toyota sports utility vehicle.
The Niles Fire Department was called in to extricate Grygorcewicz from the driver’s seat of his vehicle. The remaining four other vehicle’s drivers did not report any injuries as a result of the multivehicle crash.
